So, I've been cleaning my office. No, don't panic, this is not a sign of the apocalypse... I'm just ripping some CDs.

Body thinks it should be awake right now. It thinks that there is one more week of night shift, then time to switch to day shift. It doesn't understand the concept of not going to work.

Even worse, Body is fighting off a cold. Badly.

Brain knows better. It wants to crawl under the blankets and hibernate.

Dumb body. It should listen to brain.

Night shift - the good points:

• fewer people around to annoy me
• more opportunities to learn new things at work
• buses are not crowded
• seeing a beautiful sunrise at the end of the workday
• I get some quality me-time before and after work

"I hope your mother doesn't know how much you get around, young lady!"

Well, I did it. I have successfully finished my lift truck training. It was supposed to be over two days, but my instructor decided that he would be willing to stay late and let me do my "road test" today. That saves me a trip back in to Brantford tomorrow. Well. I just got off the phone with my current employers. They have a posting for me, starting tomorrow. Hooray!

It's straight afternoon shifts, 3-11pm, at another of TheMothership's plants...
